Dear Jamieson Parents,
Please find below the minutes of the PAC General meeting on November 28th. It includes the discussion about Strings program, questions regarding the extracurricular groups, and the Principal’s responses.
As Term 1 comes to a close and our school transitions with a new incoming Principal, we will pick up speed again in the new year.
Cause for Cellobration
In the meantime, some exciting news … kudos to the cello club Cellobration who are finalists at the 2018 CBC Canadian Music Class Challenge! This extracurricular group will be performing at the Winter Strings Concerts next week.
If you have not yet experienced a Jamieson strings performance, consider attending on December 19th (junior concert) or December 20th (senior concert), and experience firsthand joyful music, enthusiasm and budding talent filling the room.
Thank you to the families who stepped up to the call – you wrote letters and emails, attended the PAC meeting and many approached us to ask about the Strings Program, wanting to better understand the situation.
To those who wrote to the Principal and/or the Vancouver School Board, we ask if you would consent to share your name and letter (in whole or parts) publicly so we can share it with others. Please contact email@example.com to confirm your consent.
If you haven’t written and would like to address your concerns, please write to:
- Jamieson Principal – outgoing Principal Chris Wong, email: firstname.lastname@example.org, CC: incoming Principal Natasha Miladinovic, email: email@example.com
- Vancouver School Board – School Trustee Lois Chan-Pedley, email: firstname.lastname@example.org and copy your message to Superintendent Suzanne Hoffman, email: email@example.com
Thank you for your support,
