It has been quite a year of unknowns and many curtailed activities. Yet we have almost managed to reach the end of the school year with very few COVID hiccups along the way — a great testament to the hard work of Jamieson’s teachers, administrative and support staff, and members of the custodial team.
Despite this year being unlike any other, the staff of Jamieson were still able to provide many great learning moments for our children. We would like to share some highlights:
For this year’s primary classes:
- Playdough Landforms models
- Mother’s Day Paintings
- Art Projects
- Caterpillars/Butterflies
- Song and Dance
- Button Blankets
- Making a wooden toy
- Sharks
- Ladybugs
- Wilderness Days and Friendships we made
And from our intermediate classes:
- Physics Lab (Newton’s Laws)
- Monologues
- Heritage Fair
- Radio Plays
- Science Fair
- Shadow Puppetry
- Salmon work
- 5 Virtual Field trips – Barkersville being the highlight
- CBC Music Challenge
We would like to recognize the hard work of our Jamieson staff by hosting a boxed lunch take away and providing each staff member with a gift card from a local business.
Please support our event by making a donation. Forms were printed and distributed the week of May 24.
