Fundraising Campaigns 2025/2026

In 2024/2025, the PAC started asking teachers for a wish list. The same year, PAC funded nearly every item on the teacher’s wish list. These items have direct impact on the students: classes have their own book collection where students can check out books to bring home, 2 new volleyball nets and 4 new badminton nets for the gym, and blue gym mats (previously none) to name a few.

These are 100% a Wish List – and completely optional but nice to have. If you are interested in donating to one of these asks, you can make a direct donation. Donations over $25 through School Cash Online will be issued a tax receipt.

This year we have (smaller) items per-class/division Wish List that parents can talk donate directly to the teachers in their classes.

Teachers’ Wish List:

  • [Complete] Vex IQ Education Bundles – $7,313.25
    • Students have been learning coding using microbits, Scratch Jr which are suitable up to age 11. Robotics is an option for 6/7 as aprt of ADST- it has strong connections with STEM and align with great ideas and activities in our school such as Destination Imagination.
  • Mud Kitchen – $5,000
    • Primary students at Jamieson are lacking intentional activity/ play during recess and lunch.  Mud kitchens allow students to practice role play, oral communication skills, fine motor development, cooperation, a connection to the land… as well as many additional benefits linked.
  • Book a Visit by Your favourite BC Childrens Authors & Illustrators – CWILL BC – $2,800
    • This is an authentic learning opportunity for students to build upon their love for reading and gain an appreciation for the process behind writing and publishing a book. The primary students will be able to meet the author behind the books we have in our very own library. We would also be supporting local authors and building connections for our school community.
  • Lightboards for art class – $225
  • [Complete] Bluetooth speaker for use in gym – $450
    • A bluetooth speaker for large spaces.  The classroom bluetooth speaker is not loud enough for the large space when dancing in gym class/movement activites to music in the gym. P.E. classes are sometimes 20 – 30 minutes in duration.  Something quick and easy to connect to music is required. The speaker the school has is being used in the activity room 3 days a week.
  • [Complete] Small/ Individual Laminator – $150
    • Select small items in the classroom would last longer, if protected when laminated. Small items for name tags, pocket chart items etc.  Laminator + Refill Sheets
  • Outdoor Education Fund – $500
    • In the past, we received $500 which we used for the garden; this year, we could use some money for more gravel around the boxes so children are not standing in puddles while observing plants, water cans and kink-less hoses
  • Grow Seedlings in the Spring – $200
    • Although only ten classes plant in the garden boxes.  We have five other classes planting in tubs.  That means 15/21 Div are using the school garden.  As well, students from other classes also spend time observing plants and creatures in our school garden.
  • Electric Guitar Amp & Ching Rings – $650
    • Teacher has been using her own equipment to support the children

Teacher / Classroom Specific Wish List (Please ask/donate directly to your classroom teachers!):

  • [Complete] All Grades – Class Sports Ball & Sport ball pump– $20 Each Set
    • We have a limited stock in our classroom of recess and lunch recess sport equipment. I want to encourage the kids to connect and collaborate through play and sport.
  • Kindergarten Indoor grow light for seedlings – $100
    • Gardening and watching plants grow is a part of Kindergarten that students really enjoy. Throughout the year, we explore what plants need to survive and the plant life cycle. An indoor grow light could help students make connections to the content we are learning by watching how seedlings grow in the classroom over the winter/early spring months before we move them outside into our garden box. This would also allow us to start our observations earlier, rather than relying on store-bought plants or until after the last frost to begin planting outdoors.
  • Grade 1Document Camera – $80
    • Document cameras are helpful when displaying example work, read aloud picture book stories, and hands on step-by-step instruction for students to watch.
  • Grade 3 – Please Check with Teacher for specific models
    • Wireless Voice Amplifier + USB-C Multi-Adapter – $150
      • Bluetooth teacher microphone for the classroom
    • 10 FT mini portable multi-sport net set with rubber volleyball, pump and portable carry bag – $280
      • 10 FT mini portable multi-sport net set with rubber volleyball, pump and portable carry bag
  • Grade 3/4/5 – Bluetooth Speaker – $100
    • To project songs when teaching French lessons, in particular. I like to use music and song where and when I can to hook students’ attention and learning in a fun and engaging manner. The volume and clarity of a Bluetooth speaker is much better than the sound being projected from the overhead projector.
  • Grade 4/5/6/7 – Dividers to use during Tests $100
    • Dividers for students during test writing.
  • Grade 4/5 Tech Tub for Classroom Devices – $350

Funded Annually from the PAC General Budget:

  • [Complete] Field Trip Subsidy- $12,600
    • PAC has been providing Jamieson Elementary School with a budget to help subsidize Field Trips. In 2024-2025, the proposal is to provide $600 per class (21 Divisions).

    • Examples of Field Trips from 2023-2024 include: Science World, Van Dusen, Ice Skating, Pumpkin Patch, and even Grouse Mountain
  • [Complete] Classroom Support – $8,350

  • [Complete] Library Support – $2,000

  • [Complete] Student Agenda – $3,294.48
    • PAC covers the cost of Student Agendas for all students.
